Sufficient conditions for the existence of an inertial manifold are found for the equation utt + 2γut - Δu = f(u), u = u(x, t), x∈Ω⊂RN, u|∂Ω = 0, t > 0, under the assumption that the function f satisfies the Lipschitz condition.
