Simulation of Unsteady Fluid Filtration Caused by the Exploitation of Underground Resources / Sheshenin S.V., Kakushev E.R., Artamonova N.B. // Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta. Seriya 1. Matematika. The elastic filtration regime (the Terzaghi model) is used. The numerical simulation is performed by the discretization of the boundary value problem in spatial variables with the aid of the finite element method and by the finite difference discretization in time. The numerical algorithm in use is implemented as a software package. The problem of pumping a fluid from a five-layer medium is solved as an illustrative example.
